Flowmate

FLOWMATE WET EDGE EXTENDER

Designed for addition to DUOTHANE, MONOTHANE GLOSS, SEMI GLOSS, SATIN and MATT to enhance flow characteristics.  Recommended for use in conditions of cold and heat, and or especially large areas where it is difficult to maintain a ‘wet edge’.

SUITABLE FOR USE WITH:

MONOTHANE HS 50 GLOSS
MONOTHANE 45 GLOSS
SILVERSEAL GLOSS
MONOTHANE SEMI-GLOSS
MONOTHANE SATIN
MONOTHANE MATT
DUOTHANE PART B / DUOTHANE PART A
DUOTHANE PART B / DUOTHANE FAST A

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Recommended for use when coating in hot conditions especially very large areas where it is difficult to maintain a ‘wet edge’.
  2. Recommended for use when coating in cold conditions when MONOTHANE and DUOTHANE become thicker and the self leveling characteristics are reduced.  The addition of FLOWMATE will improve flow, assisting self leveling and reduce the potential for an ’orange peel’ effect when drying.

Add up to 100mls per litre in MONOTHANE HS 50 GLOSS, MONOTHANE 45 GLOSS and MONOTHANE 44 GLOSS, and up to 50mls per litre in MONOTHANE SEMI-GLOSS, MONOTHANE SATIN and MONOTHANE MATT.

Contains 450gms per litre of Aromatic Hydrocarbons.

SHELF LIFE:

This product is best if used within 24 months from manufacture (refer to batch number), when stored in unopened containers under normal conditions of temperature and humidity.

FIRST AID:

If affected by inhalation of vapour, remove to fresh air. If breathing difficulty persists or occurs later, consult a doctor and have label ready. If swallowed, do NOT induce vomiting. Give water or milk. CONTACT DOCTOR OR POISONS INFORMATION CENTRE Australia 131126. In case of eye contact, flush immediately with water for fifteen minutes and call a doctor. In case of skin contact, remove contaminated clothing and wash skin first with Methylated spirit then with soap and water.

MONOTHANE CATALYST

Designed for addition to MONOTHANE GLOSS.  Not recommended for use in MONOTHANE Reduced Sheens or DUOTHANE.

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Add at the rate of 5 -10mls per litre of MONOTHANE HS – 50 GLOSS, MONOTHANE 45 GLOSS and MONOTHANE 44 GLOSS.
  2. Do not use in final coat unless conditions of temperature and humidity prevent overnight curing.  In these circumstances, add up to 2mls per litre.

Not recommended for use in Monothane low sheens or Duothane.

SHELF LIFE:

This product is best if used within 24 months from manufacture (refer to batch number), when stored in unopened containers under normal conditions of temperature and humidity.

THINNERS

Designed to reduce or thin MONOTHANE, DUOTHANE, & TIMBERSEAL.

USES:

  1. Urethane Coatings THINNERS may be used to reduce MONOTHANE HS – 50 GLOSS, MONOTHANE 45 GLOSS, MONOTHANE 44 GLOSS, MONOTHANE SEMI GLOSS, MONOTHANE SATIN, MONOTHANE MATT, DUOTHANE PART A, DUOTHANE PART B and TIMBERSEAL.
  2. Some timber species, (notably Brush Box, Black Butt, Spotted Gum, Tallowwood ) secrete oils and waxes which condense on the timber surface.  To remove these natural contaminants dampen a clean rag with Urethane Coatings THINNERS or CLEANING SOLVENT and wipe over the floor.  Every 4-6 m² rinse the rag (or replace with a clean rag) in clean THINNERS or CLEANING SOLVENT, thereby removing surface contaminants rather than further smearing contaminants over the floor.

SHELF LIFE:

This product is best if used within 24 months from manufacture (refer to batch number), when stored in unopened containers under normal conditions of temperature and humidity.

SAFETY DIRECTIONS:

Usage of this material must be under well ventilated conditions to minimise inhalation of vapours.  Wear respirator with filters that conform with AS1716.

WARNING FLAMMABLE:

Contains 780gms per litre of Aromatic Hydrocarbons. This drum contains volatile and flammable solvents and when using contents adequate ventilation to the outside must be provided. All potential sources of ignition (open flames, pilot lights, furnaces, spark producing electrical switches, etc.) must be eliminated in or near the working area. DO NOT SMOKE. Keep drum closed with not in use.

In case of skin contact, remove contaminated clothing and wash skin and clothing with soap and water.

FLOWMAX

FLOWMAX ANTI-REJECTION FLUID

Designed for addition to DUOTHANE, MONOTHANE GLOSS, SEMI GLOSS, SATIN, MATT, TUNGSEAL, MODIFIED OIL GLOSS and MODIFIED OIL SATIN.  Recommended for use when rejection occurs (when the coating is pulling back to form ‘craters’ of ‘fisheyes’)

SUITABLE FOR USE WITH:

MONOTHANE HS 50 GLOSS
MONOTHANE 45 GLOSS
SILVERSEAL GLOSS
MONOTHANE SEMI-GLOSS
MONOTHANE SATIN
MONOTHANE MATT
DUOTHANE PART B / DUOTHANE PART A
DUOTHANE PART B / DUOTHANE FAST A
MODIFIED OIL GLOSS**
TUNGSEAL**
MODIFIED OIL SATIN**

DIRECTIONS:

Recommended for use when rejection occurs (coating pulling back to form ‘craters’ or ‘fisheyes’).

Dampen a clean rag with Urethane Coatings THINNERS of CLEANING SOLVENT and wipe over the floor.  Every 4-6 m² rinse the rag in clean THINNERS or CLEANING SOLVENT, thereby removing surface contaminants rather than further smearing contaminants over the floor.

Add 10mls of FLOWMAX per litre of MONOTHANE, and stir thoroughly. Soon after application, inspect surface for rejections (‘craters or fisheyes’).  Continue adding FLOWMAX in increments of 10mls per litre until the surface is free from rejections.

If rejection occurs when coating with MODIFIED OIL GLOSS, TUNGSEAL, or MODIFIED OIL SATIN add up to 5mls of FLOWMAX per litre of MODIFIED OIL GLOSS, TUNGSEAL, or MODIFIED OIL SATIN, and apply using a worn lambs wool applicator.

** When mixed with FLOWMAX take extra care to modestly apply MODIFIED OIL GLOSS, TUNGSEAL, or MODIFIED OIL SATIN as if applied vigorously the presence of FLOWMAX may stimulate additional bubbling or mild foaming.

Do not mix with Timberseal.

Contains 450gms per litre of Aromatic Hydrocarbons.
